After a defensive mix-up in Odranci's zone, Thomas Andolšek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radimir Kolaržik came out of the goal and Thomas Andolšek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radimir Kolaržik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Staš Fleten in the 7th minute. Odranci's Radimir Kolaržik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Andolšek in the 9th minute of play. Staš Fleten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Radimir Kolaržik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Džon Sodec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes in the game, Thomas Andolšek fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Radimir Kolaržik having to interfere. Novo mesto's Metod Zlatar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleks Matuha in the 18th minute of play. Aleks Matuha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Odranci's Radimir Kolaržik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Odranci from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Novo mesto booed when Odranci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daš Šabotić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Thomas Andolšek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radimir Kolaržik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
