Kocevje F.C.'s Rikardo Tratnjek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dane Bregar in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in West Mohor United's zone, Lojzek Seyfried stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsen Kajtna came out of the goal and Lojzek Seyfried tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rikardo Tratnjek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dane Bregar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jugoslav Kosirnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dane Bregar kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Kocevje F.C. defense, Valdi Šilc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rikardo Tratnjek. The Kocevje F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rikardo Tratnjek should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 56th minute, West Mohor United's Dane Bregar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rikardo Tratnjek. Rikardo Tratnjek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Viljam Dremelj was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. Rikardo Tratnjek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Štefan Bevek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 61 minute of play. Ilon Plestenjak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Arsen Kajtna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lojzek Seyfried in the 71st minute of play forced West Mohor United's goalkeeper Arsen Kajtna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dane Bregar charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dane Bregar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kocevje F.C. booed when West Mohor United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dane Bregar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theo Ris in the 83rd minute of play forced West Mohor United's goalkeeper Arsen Kajtna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arsen Kajtna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lojzek Seyfried in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in West Mohor United's zone, Lojzek Seyfried stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsen Kajtna came out of the goal and Lojzek Seyfried tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Kocevje F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching West Mohor United's performance. The match ended with a win for West Mohor United.
