Spectators: 6802 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1802, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Lenart's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Scholten came free, but Milanko Dolanec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Lenart's Nemanja Žagar threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Italo Mahkovic, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Roq Pezdir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Nemanja Žagar made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Izola's Rene Scholten got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match, Roq Pezdir got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nemanja Žagar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Milanko Dolanec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Scholten in the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Rene Scholten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izola's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Scholten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Milanko Dolanec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Izola's Nemanja Žagar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Izola from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Scholten in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milanko Dolanec saved Lenart from getting behind. Lenart's Milanko Dolanec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Scholten in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Lenart getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mersudin Kozarič hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes Izola got a freekick which was hit by Tomo Dobnikar. 29 minutes into the match, Izola's goalkeeper Nemanja Žagar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roq Pezdir. The supporters of Izola booed when Lenart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haris Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Scholten charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Scholten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Izola's Rene Scholten got a free kick in the 35th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Lenart's goal looked a bit too open when Momir Verderber came free, but Milanko Dolanec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rene Scholten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haris Matos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miro Praprotnik in the 51st minute of play forced Izola's goalkeeper Nemanja Žagar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milanko Dolanec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Scholten, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Nemanja Žagar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roq Pezdir in the 57th minute of the match. Milanko Dolanec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Momir Verderber in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute Haris Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemanja Žagar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemanja Žagar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roq Pezdir, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Rene Scholten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Scholten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Milanko Dolanec when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roq Pezdir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemanja Žagar having to interfere. Izola's Rene Scholten got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rene Scholten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klodian Čuden lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Many of Izola's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Izola may have spent more time on the ball, but Lenart were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
