Theodor Trobina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Adis Nedižavec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Slovenj Gradec's goal looked a bit too open when Adem Čelebić came free, but Zekirja Kunstelj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zekirja Kunstelj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miklavž Cerar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Theodor Trobina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amin Nedižavec kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Adis Nedižavec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rade Zmrzlak in the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasim Jakšić during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kobarid FC booed when Slovenj Gradec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasim Jakšić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Edmund Kermavner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zekirja Kunstelj showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Amin Nedižavec fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slovenj Gradec's protests and gave Amin Nedižavec a yellow card for diving instead. Zekirja Kunstelj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miklavž Cerar in the 32nd minute of play. Kobarid FC's Emiljan Urbanič pulled a muscle in his leg after 33 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Slovenj Gradec's Amin Nedižavec got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Miklavž Cerar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miklavž Cerar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Zekirja Kunstelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Miklavž Cerar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zekirja Kunstelj. Slovenj Gradec's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miklavž Cerar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miklavž Cerar made a kick off. Adis Nedižavec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theodor Trobina's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 58th match minute, Kobarid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jadran Prelog to maneuver through the defense. Miklavž Cerar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Zekirja Kunstelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Adi Seršen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slovenj Gradec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kobarid FC the free kick. Adi Seršen hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Theodor Trobina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 71 minutes, Jadran Prelog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kobarid FC and the Slovenj Gradec players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jadran Prelog hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Miklavž Cerar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zekirja Kunstelj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Izudin Koler scored 1-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zekirja Kunstelj, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miklavž Cerar struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Zekirja Kunstelj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kobarid FC. Kasim Jakšić was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 81 played minutes Slovenj Gradec got a freekick which was hit by Kasim Jakšić. When Miklavž Cerar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Kobarid FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miklavž Cerar couldn't finish the play. The Kobarid FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kobarid FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
