The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mirko Erjavec might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Malik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mirko Erjavec ran back to his position shaking his head. Senad Kalamar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onur Azim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nihad Badić in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, NK Brežice's Lun Klenovšek got a free kick in the 10th minute. Nihad Badić struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Onur Azim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ULIČARJI PIRAN. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mirt Pestotnik in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Onur Azim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nihad Badić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Onur Azim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Mirko Erjavec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Mirko Erjavec managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Brežice's supporters rose to their feet, but Mirko Erjavec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Malik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antoni Malik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Senad Kalamar, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Senad Kalamar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Malik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antoni Malik didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when NK Brežice's Senad Kalamar shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 46th minute Senad Kalamar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Malik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ULIČARJI PIRAN players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. NK Brežice were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Senad Kalamar made the kick off in the second half. Antoni Malik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mirko Erjavec's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Senad Kalamar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Nihad Badić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onur Azim having to interfere. If Nihad Badić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nihad Badić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mirt Pestotnik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Onur Azim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to NK Brežice getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Bem Guček hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Camilo Richie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. NK Brežice's Mirko Erjavec got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the match, Mirko Erjavec got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antoni Malik was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 77 minutes into the game, Senad Kalamar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antoni Malik. Senad Kalamar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 84th match minute, NK Brežice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lun Klenovšek to maneuver through the defense. Demeter Pozne was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Mirko Erjavec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antoni Malik. ULIČARJI PIRAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mirko Erjavec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 93rd minute, Mirko Erjavec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antoni Malik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The NK Brežice supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NK Brežice would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
