After a rather tough play, New Greenhorns's Erik Šuster got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lambert Ponikvar in the 18th minute of play forced NK Haloze's goalkeeper Drago Kodrič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes New Greenhorns got a freekick which was hit by Lambert Ponikvar. 24 minutes into the match, NK Haloze's goal looked a bit too open when Lambert Ponikvar came free, but Drago Kodrič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jošt Zajšek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Hektor Venek made a huge save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jošt Zajšek couldn't finish the play. When Erik Šuster was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played.

The wind increased when Ive Krupenko made the kick off in the second half. Adriano Bržan took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hektor Venek. Hektor Venek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Brando Slaček hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Jošt Zajšek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hektor Venek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New Greenhorns's Hektor Venek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jošt Zajšek in the 72nd minute of play. Lambert Ponikvar charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lambert Ponikvar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Lambert Ponikvar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to New Greenhorns getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Lambert Ponikvar hit a great ball. When NK Haloze's Adriano Bržan in the 100th minute got a chance for a shot 100th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Greenhorns's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the New Greenhorns players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for NK Haloze.
