Spectators: 7776 (Terracing: 6041, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 45) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lambert Ponikvar kicked off to start the match. Hektor Venek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slavček Vašl, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Eldin Mandić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When NK Plitvo Morje's Bor Tratnik in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New Greenhorns's goalie prevented a goal. Hektor Venek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slavček Vašl in the 16th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Pavel Kozina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Greenhorns's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK Plitvo Morje the free kick. Pavel Kozina hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Stano Vinković managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Plitvo Morje's supporters rose to their feet, but Stano Vinković was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hektor Venek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the game, Erik Šuster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Greenhorns's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK Plitvo Morje the free kick. After 31 played minutes New Greenhorns got a freekick which was hit by Erik Šuster. Hektor Venek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bor Tratnik in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match NK Plitvo Morje got a corner. New Greenhorns's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bor Tratnik ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jugomir Grahovac thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hektor Venek, a very annoying self made goal in the 34th minute which led to 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Bor Tratnik managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Plitvo Morje's supporters rose to their feet, but Bor Tratnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hektor Venek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Stano Vinković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stano Vinković struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Hektor Venek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK Plitvo Morje. Bor Tratnik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bor Tratnik to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, New Greenhorns's goal looked a bit too open when Slavček Vašl came free, but Hektor Venek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Erik Šuster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Lambert Ponikvar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicholas Ljubeljšek. NK Plitvo Morje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lambert Ponikvar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Hektor Venek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavček Vašl's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by New Greenhorns's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bor Tratnik was slow to take the kick. During this time NK Plitvo Morje's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on NK Plitvo Morje's corner Bor Tratnik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hektor Venek quite easily take care of the ball. Hektor Venek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavček Vašl's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slavček Vašl in the 69th minute of play forced New Greenhorns's goalkeeper Hektor Venek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game Slavček Vašl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Greenhorns's Hektor Venek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hektor Venek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Slavček Vašl's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. A collision led to NK Plitvo Morje getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Narciz Senčar hit a great ball. Stano Vinković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hektor Venek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Bor Tratnik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Hektor Venek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 87 minutes, Slavko Krašnja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Greenhorns and the NK Plitvo Morje players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes New Greenhorns got a freekick which was hit by Slavko Krašnja. Hektor Venek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slavček Vašl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, New Greenhorns's Erik Šuster got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
