Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vanja Cenkar made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Fighters and Defenders booed when NK Laško Pivovar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelfi Lenard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladko Mlinarič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vanja Cenkar's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Vladko Mlinarič didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nedeljko Bilanče went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Andrej Matjaž didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arpad Brumen went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Nedeljko Bilanče recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentino Hostnik in the 17th minute of play forced Fighters and Defenders's goalkeeper Andrej Matjaž to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrej Matjaž showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentino Hostnik in the 18th minute of the match. If Arpad Brumen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentino Hostnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Andrej Matjaž tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentino Hostnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrej Matjaž having to interfere. Andrej Matjaž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentino Hostnik in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Vanja Cenkar notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of NK Laško Pivovar's Vladko Mlinarič. Vladko Mlinarič was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Arpad Brumen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentino Hostnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrej Matjaž having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentino Hostnik made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Fighters and Defenders got a freekick which was hit by Vanja Cenkar. Andrej Matjaž showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arpad Brumen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Nedeljko Bilanče came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Fighters and Defenders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nedeljko Bilanče couldn't finish the play. NK Laško Pivovar's Vladko Mlinarič proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save NK Laško Pivovar from getting a goal against them. Goražd Kureš's late challenge caught a Fighters and Defenders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Goražd Kureš helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, NK Laško Pivovar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Goražd Kureš to maneuver through the defense. Vladko Mlinarič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vanja Cenkar, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Andrej Matjaž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arpad Brumen in the 72nd minute of play. If Arpad Brumen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nedeljko Bilanče sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentino Hostnik struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Andrej Matjaž didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK Laško Pivovar. In the 84th minute Arpad Brumen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrej Matjaž saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes NK Laško Pivovar got a freekick which was hit by Valentino Hostnik. 88 minutes into the game, Valentino Hostnik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Andrej Matjaž was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. NK Laško Pivovar's Vladko Mlinarič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vanja Cenkar in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, NK Laško Pivovar's Valentino Hostnik got a free kick in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
