Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zvone Žukovec took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 minutes, Izudin Steržaj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borovnica NK and the Radgona MNK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Borovnica NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izudin Steržaj to maneuver through the defense. Pavli Jeromel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damjan Kunej, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Filip Dragan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Radgona MNK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Dragan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandro Trep charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandro Trep the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Radgona MNK booed when Borovnica NK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Trep didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Filip Dragan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pavli Jeromel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20thth minute of the game Damjan Kunej who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borovnica NK's Pavli Jeromel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 minutes, Zdenislav Oblak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borovnica NK and the Radgona MNK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Borovnica NK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Radgona MNK's Damjan Kunej got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pavli Jeromel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Dragan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filip Dragan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borovnica NK's Pavli Jeromel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Dragan in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filip Dragan to make the kick off. During the 51st minute of the match Zdenislav Oblak completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zdenislav Oblak a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Radgona MNK booed when Borovnica NK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zdenislav Oblak didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Damjan Kunej had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavli Jeromel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Dragan in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 played minutes Radgona MNK got a freekick which was hit by Goce Hauptman. 66 minutes into the match, Borovnica NK's Sani Ciperle broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marjo Florjančič struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Giovanni Kodre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borovnica NK. The referee showed Jerko Mihelčič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 91 played minutes Borovnica NK got a freekick which was hit by Jerko Mihelčič. Damjan Kunej received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Pavli Jeromel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Damjan Kunej could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Pavli Jeromel however easily saved by the left post. Pavli Jeromel was a little too slow when Filip Dragan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 1-4. The Radgona MNK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Radgona MNK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
