Borovnica NK's Pavli Jeromel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lambert Ponikvar in the 2nd minute of play. In the 3rd minute, Vojo Ušaj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 played minutes Borovnica NK got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Trep. After having played for 15 minutes, Zvone Žukovec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borovnica NK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zvone Žukovec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lambert Ponikvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 24 minutes, Ive Krupenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Greenhorns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ive Krupenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. New Greenhorns's Hektor Venek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marjo Florjančič in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to New Greenhorns getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Slavko Krašnja hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes, Borovnica NK's Sani Ciperle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hektor Venek came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borovnica NK reached it. Lambert Ponikvar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hektor Venek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zvone Žukovec's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Erik Šuster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Pavli Jeromel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ive Krupenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes, Vojo Ušaj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borovnica NK and the New Greenhorns players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Borovnica NK got a freekick which was hit by Vojo Ušaj. Pavli Jeromel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Boban Cepec. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lambert Ponikvar to make the kick off. Pavli Jeromel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lambert Ponikvar's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Zvone Žukovec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marjo Florjančič came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Borovnica NK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marjo Florjančič couldn't finish the play. If Lambert Ponikvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lambert Ponikvar struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Pavli Jeromel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Greenhorns. 86 minutes into the match, Borovnica NK's Vojo Ušaj sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hektor Venek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marjo Florjančič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hektor Venek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zvone Žukovec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marjo Florjančič could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Hektor Venek made a huge save. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
