When NK Laško Pivovar's Valentino Hostnik in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Radgona MNK's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of NK Laško Pivovar booed when Radgona MNK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Goce Hauptman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Radgona MNK's goalkeeper Giovanni Kodre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arpad Brumen. The supporters of NK Laško Pivovar booed when Radgona MNK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirzet Kozlevčar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovanni Kodre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arpad Brumen in the 11th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Mirzet Kozlevčar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Radgona MNK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK Laško Pivovar the free kick. After 11 played minutes Radgona MNK got a freekick which was hit by Mirzet Kozlevčar. After a rather tough play, Radgona MNK's Damjan Kunej got a free kick in the 18th minute. Vladko Mlinarič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damjan Kunej's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Filip Dragan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NK Laško Pivovar's Vladko Mlinarič was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Filip Dragan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valentino Hostnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Kodre having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Valentino Hostnik made the kick off in the second half. Filip Dragan struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Vladko Mlinarič didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Radgona MNK. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Filip Dragan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radgona MNK's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Dragan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladko Mlinarič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Goražd Kureš's late challenge caught a Radgona MNK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Goražd Kureš helped the player get up and apologised. When Filip Dragan came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Radgona MNK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Dragan couldn't finish the play. Vladko Mlinarič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Dragan, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Damjan Kunej had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radgona MNK's Damjan Kunej got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radgona MNK's Giovanni Kodre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arpad Brumen in the 73rd minute of play. If Filip Dragan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Radgona MNK's Filip Dragan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladko Mlinarič. Vladko Mlinarič yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Vladko Mlinarič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Dragan in the 82nd minute of play. After 88 played minutes Radgona MNK got a freekick which was hit by Mirzet Kozlevčar. The audience was convinced that Valentino Hostnik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Kodre was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The NK Laško Pivovar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Radgona MNK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
