Mirzet Kozlevčar kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Drago Kodrič made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Goce Hauptman sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in NK Haloze's zone, Filip Dragan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drago Kodrič came out of the goal and Filip Dragan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brando Slaček received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Giovanni Kodre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute of the match Željko Kašibović sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Drago Kodrič skillfully saved the ball. Tarik Trnovšek kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Damjan Kunej's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Drago Kodrič was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Giovanni Kodre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Bržan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jošt Zajšek got free with Giovanni Kodre in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovanni Kodre was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Adriano Bržan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Bržan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. 88 minutes into the match, NK Haloze's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Dragan came free, but Drago Kodrič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jošt Zajšek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. NK Haloze had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
