Spectators: 8043 (Terracing: 6033, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 160) Fighters and Defenders's Vanja Cenkar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Oriano Hrašar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Vanja Cenkar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aleksandro Brenčič was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nedeljko Bilanče fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandro Brenčič having to interfere. Hilarij Čamernik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The NK Donat fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when NK Donat's Rafael Antonić looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 21 played minutes, Fighters and Defenders's Besir Kokotović shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aleksandro Brenčič came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fighters and Defenders reached it. Nedeljko Bilanče struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Aleksandro Brenčič didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fighters and Defenders. In the 25th minute, Oriano Hrašar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrej Matjaž showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilarij Čamernik, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Rafael Antonić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fighters and Defenders's Andrej Matjaž was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Nedeljko Bilanče had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleksandro Brenčič. NK Donat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nedeljko Bilanče was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When Vanja Cenkar came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Fighters and Defenders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vanja Cenkar couldn't finish the play. After 40 played minutes Fighters and Defenders got a freekick which was hit by Nedeljko Bilanče. Rafael Antonić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrej Matjaž read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Fighters and Defenders were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Antonić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oriano Hrašar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrej Matjaž having to make a save. Andrej Matjaž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Antonić in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, Fighters and Defenders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stane Škof to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Fighters and Defenders's goal looked a bit too open when Frenk Botonjić came free, but Andrej Matjaž reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Rafael Antonić put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Andrej Matjaž. 71 minutes into the game, Oriano Hrašar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Andrej Matjaž was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nedeljko Bilanče fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandro Brenčič having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Antonić in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrej Matjaž saved Fighters and Defenders from getting behind. After 85 played minutes Fighters and Defenders got a freekick which was hit by Besir Kokotović. In the 88th minute NK Donat were awarded a corner. Rafael Antonić went to the cornerflag to take it. NK Donat's Rafael Antonić was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andrej Matjaž in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Andrej Matjaž made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Antonić in the 89th minute of play. Hilarij Čamernik struck a weak shot in the 91st minute.
