Spectators: 7747 (Terracing: 6012, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 45) Mislinja MNK's Rasti Pečko started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lambert Ponikvar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Rebernik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Robert Rebernik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Slavko Krašnja in the 22nd minute. Robert Rebernik was a little too slow when Lambert Ponikvar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Mislinja MNK's Robert Rebernik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mislinja MNK from getting a goal against them. Robert Rebernik made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Ive Krupenko sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lambert Ponikvar managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Greenhorns's supporters rose to their feet, but Lambert Ponikvar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Rebernik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mislinja MNK's Stano Fujs got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Slavko Krašnja fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Greenhorns's protests and gave Slavko Krašnja a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mislinja MNK booed when New Greenhorns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slavko Krašnja didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rasti Pečko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mislinja MNK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rasti Pečko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hektor Venek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Lambert Ponikvar made the kick off in the second half. Robert Rebernik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ive Krupenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Rasti Pečko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hektor Venek having to interfere. Stano Fujs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hektor Venek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to New Greenhorns getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Reinhard Peterka hit a great ball. If Lambert Ponikvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lambert Ponikvar in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Rebernik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th match minute, New Greenhorns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slavko Krašnja to maneuver through the defense. Stano Fujs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Mislinja MNK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rasti Pečko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hektor Venek having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New Greenhorns had won after a very even match.
