The supporters of NK Donat booed when Radgona MNK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stano Seršen didn't get a good kick on the ball. NK Donat's supporters rose to their feet, but Frenk Botonjić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Kodre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Radgona MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Oriano Hrašar came free, but Giovanni Kodre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Oriano Hrašar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Giovanni Kodre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 70th play minute Hilarij Čamernik came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Giovanni Kodre. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florijan Strgar in the 76th minute of play forced Radgona MNK's goalkeeper Giovanni Kodre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Kodre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Antonić, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Oriano Sonc's late challenge caught a NK Donat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oriano Sonc helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Radgona MNK's Giovanni Kodre got control of the ball when Rafael Antonić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafael Antonić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Giovanni Kodre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NK Donat's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
