The referee ignored Real Sostro CF's protests and gave Timothy Mason a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gusari booed when Real Sostro CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Mason didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gusari getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ilmin Vogrič hit a great ball. Teo Špindler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borislav Semprimožnik having to interfere. Tihomir Verderber charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tihomir Verderber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Real Sostro CF booed when Gusari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tihomir Verderber didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bogomil Krapež had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogomil Krapež hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Aleksej Mešič's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ardenko Valenčič was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogomil Krapež to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Zijad Štepec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gusari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zijad Štepec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Ardenko Valenčič successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ardenko Valenčič didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Bojči Renko hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Zlatko Šubelj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borislav Semprimožnik having to interfere. Borislav Semprimožnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Mason in the 93rd minute of play. Zijad Štepec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ardenko Valenčič made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Real Sostro CF lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
