Lorenzo Krempl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milenko Miloš in the 3rd minute of play. Lorenzo Krempl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venco Zaman, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venco Zaman in the 12th minute of play forced Cerkno MNK's goalkeeper Lorenzo Krempl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Mato Zajtl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Krempl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danjel Korez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avgust Krmelj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Saško Udrih sped through NK Krka's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danjel Korez. Saško Udrih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danjel Korez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avgust Krmelj in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, NK Krka's goal looked a bit too open when Saško Udrih came free, but Danjel Korez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrej Stipanič in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danjel Korez saved NK Krka from getting behind. NK Krka's Danjel Korez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Požeg in the 30th minute of play. After 34 played minutes Cerkno MNK got a freekick which was hit by Boyan Habič. In the 37th minute Omar Požeg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danjel Korez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valter Randl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Cerkno MNK's Krsta Hvala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danjel Korez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Saško Udrih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Danjel Korez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Cerkno MNK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mato Zajtl to strike the kick off in the second half. Danjel Korez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrej Stipanič's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Avgust Krmelj kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Danjel Korez. That made the score 0-2 in the 55 minute of play. After some careless play in the NK Krka defense, Krsta Hvala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danjel Korez. The NK Krka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danjel Korez should have stopped the shot. Saško Udrih could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Danjel Korez made a huge save. 64 minutes into the game, Venco Zaman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NK Krka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerkno MNK the free kick. A collision led to NK Krka getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Venco Zaman hit a great ball. Argio Vukićević kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Saško Udrih lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Danjel Korez. 74 minutes in the game, Valter Randl fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Danjel Korez having to interfere. Krsta Hvala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Krsta Hvala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerkno MNK's supporters rose to their feet, but Krsta Hvala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danjel Korez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Omar Požeg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Danjel Korez came out and tried to block the shot, but Omar Požeg slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 82nd minute. Danjel Korez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Požeg in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Omar Požeg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danjel Korez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to NK Krka getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Levin Mlinarič hit a great ball. Cerkno MNK's Saško Udrih got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saško Udrih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Danjel Korez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saško Udrih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danjel Korez having to interfere. Avgust Krmelj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danjel Korez having to interfere. Cerkno MNK played a much better game than NK Krka and deserved their victory. The NK Krka players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
