Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Emir Hmelak got the match started through his kick off. Emir Hmelak took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Borislav Semprimožnik. Borislav Semprimožnik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 10th minute, Aleksej Mešič ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Negovan Mihić was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Avgust Vojković's late challenge caught a Metlika's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avgust Vojković helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Avgust Vojković hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Borislav Semprimožnik made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Kenan Peternelj sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Gusari's zone, Emir Hmelak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borislav Semprimožnik came out of the goal and Emir Hmelak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Borislav Semprimožnik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emir Hmelak, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Aleksej Mešič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenan Peternelj got free with Borislav Semprimožnik in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Gusari's goal looked a bit too open when Emir Hmelak came free, but Borislav Semprimožnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emir Hmelak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borislav Semprimožnik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Metlika's Kenan Peternelj made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Borislav Semprimožnik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aleksej Mešič's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Negovan Mihić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Emir Hmelak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Borislav Semprimožnik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kenan Peternelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aleksej Mešič to strike the kick off in the second half. Borislav Semprimožnik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenan Peternelj in the 56th minute of the match. Emir Hmelak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borislav Semprimožnik having to interfere. Aleksej Mešič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Negovan Mihić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilmin Vogrič hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Aleksej Mešič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Negovan Mihić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tihomir Verderber charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tihomir Verderber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gusari's Tihomir Verderber got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Emir Hmelak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Borislav Semprimožnik. Gusari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emir Hmelak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Metlika's Luban Bavčar got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rdth minute of the game Aleksej Mešič who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metlika's Negovan Mihić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenan Peternelj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borislav Semprimožnik having to interfere. Borislav Semprimožnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emir Hmelak in the 91st minute of play. Emir Hmelak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Borislav Semprimožnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Metlika's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
