The audience was convinced that Kenan Peternelj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saip Askeroğlu was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Jaroslav Krznar hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes, Metlika's Amir Koler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Saip Askeroğlu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Metlika reached it. Kenan Peternelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Negovan Mihić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Metlika players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
