Miloš Sirnik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samuel Perušek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. After taking down the ball on Gremio FC's corner Jon Jankovič fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zvezdan Tominšek quite easily take care of the ball. Veno Černač received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zvezdan Tominšek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zvezdan Tominšek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bor Fluher went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Samuel Perušek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Lašče FC booed when Gremio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jurij Vihernik didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Lašče FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gremio FC were winning 1-2.

Miloš Sirnik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mirijan Paurič went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Mirijan Paurič charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mirijan Paurič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mirijan Paurič hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gremio FC booed when Lašče FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ugo Žalac didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ažbe Brezovnik fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lašče FC's protests and gave Ažbe Brezovnik a yellow card for diving instead. Ažbe Brezovnik kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Mirijan Paurič might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miloš Sirnik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mirijan Paurič ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jurij Vihernik fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio FC's protests and gave Jurij Vihernik a yellow card for diving instead. Miloš Sirnik had in the 80thth minute some difficulties stopping Janez Korošec's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ljudevit Kogoj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Zvezdan Tominšek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ljudevit Kogoj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Samuel Perušek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, Ugo Žalac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ljudevit Kogoj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Zvezdan Tominšek made a huge save. In the 98th match minute, Gremio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Vasič to maneuver through the defense. Lašče FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gremio FC had controlled the match.
