Spectators: 7916 (Terracing: 6916, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Milan AvguÅ¡tin started the match with the kick off. Kevin Kuri hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The long shot by Jon Jankovič in the 11th minute really tested Aldin ReÅ¡'s skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The attack was good, but when Veno Černač in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Veno Černač in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldin ReÅ¡ prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aldin ReÅ¡ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veno Černač in the 20th minute of the match. If Milan AvguÅ¡tin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miloš Sirnik came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Pesnica NK's Milan AvguÅ¡tin. But to his dismay, Milan AvguÅ¡tin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Pesnica NK getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Borislav Novak hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gremio FC's Jerko Bavdek got a free kick in the 29th minute. Vincencij Leber kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Borislav Novak in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miloš Sirnik saved Gremio FC from getting behind. Ljudevit Kogoj's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Aldin ReÅ¡ firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ljudevit Kogoj who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Aldin ReÅ¡ when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, Pesnica NK's goal looked a bit too open when Veno Černač came free, but Aldin ReÅ¡ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldin ReÅ¡ stood somewhat misplaced when Ljudevit Kogoj came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 45 minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ljudevit Kogoj was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ljudevit Kogoj managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gremio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ljudevit Kogoj was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldin ReÅ¡ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ljudevit Kogoj got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Aldin ReÅ¡ handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Kevin Kuri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ljudevit Kogoj in the 62nd minute of play forced Pesnica NK's goalkeeper Aldin ReÅ¡ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veno Černač received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aldin ReÅ¡ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Bernard Pernek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miloš Sirnik was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Milan AvguÅ¡tin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Veno Černač's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aldin ReÅ¡ was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Borislav Novak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Miloš Sirnik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pesnica NK's Aldin ReÅ¡ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ljudevit Kogoj in the 82nd minute of play. The referee ignored Gremio FC's protests and gave Vincencij Leber a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pesnica NK booed when Gremio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincencij Leber didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Gremio FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pesnica NK to win.
