Gremio FC's Miloš Sirnik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Lukić in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Ljudevit Kogoj notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vransko ND's Ismail Smole. Ismail Smole was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Gremio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Val Kordiš came free, but Miloš Sirnik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Just Šporar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ismail Smole. Vransko ND's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Ljudevit Kogoj notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vransko ND's Ismail Smole. Ismail Smole was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ljudevit Kogoj sped through Vransko ND's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ismail Smole. Ismail Smole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ljudevit Kogoj in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Vransko ND got a freekick which was hit by Val Kordiš. Veno Černač sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st play minute Christian Paščinski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Miloš Sirnik. 1-3. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ljudevit Kogoj to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vransko ND getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jožef Jurčić hit a great ball. Ismail Smole acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jon Jankovič. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ljudevit Kogoj got free with Ismail Smole in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Val Kordiš fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vransko ND's protests and gave Val Kordiš a yellow card for diving instead. Valentin Vasič hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Arne Lukić struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Miloš Sirnik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vransko ND. Arne Lukić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vransko ND booed when Gremio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Vasič didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veno Černač scored 1-4 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ismail Smole, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veno Černač in the 80th minute of play forced Vransko ND's goalkeeper Ismail Smole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bor Fluher charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bor Fluher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bor Fluher kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ljudevit Kogoj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ismail Smole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Val Kordiš hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Veno Černač shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismail Smole saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismail Smole made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ljudevit Kogoj in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Gremio FC defense, Christian Paščinski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miloš Sirnik. The Gremio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miloš Sirnik should have stopped the shot. After 97 minutes of play Vransko ND's Val Kordiš was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 98th match minute, Vransko ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Val Kordiš to maneuver through the defense. Gremio FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
