With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almin Knific prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Ožbalt Žabkar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 15thth minute of the game Devin Škrgić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Šempeter GF's Almin Knific was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Almin Knific had great luck who in the 17thth minute grab hold of the ball when Devin Škrgić from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Almin Knific made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devin Škrgić in the 19th minute of play. Arnel Stonič struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Tjaš Ercegović didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Šempeter GF. 29 minutes into the game, Devin Škrgić recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Almin Knific. Devin Škrgić showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Almin Knific took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Škrgić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute, Arnel Stonič reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tjaš Ercegović. The goal made the score 1-1. Devin Škrgić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almin Knific having to interfere. Almin Knific took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ožbalt Žabkar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, Šempeter GF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrijan Bilić to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Devin Škrgić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Pirates's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Šempeter GF the free kick. Devin Škrgić kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Šempeter GF's Arnel Stonič got a free kick in the 71st minute. Almin Knific didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Devin Škrgić went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With 86 minutes on the clock, Tino Verbec commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 94th minute, Arnel Stonič fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tjaš Ercegović, passed just outside the right post. FC Pirates's Tjaš Ercegović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pirates from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Pirates had played much better football throughout.
