When Vasilije Hromec came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Slovenska Bistrica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasilije Hromec couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the game, Znadimir Rutar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kočevje FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slovenska Bistrica the free kick. Feliks Šenk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lukasz Orling in the 13th minute of the match. Mavro Primar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliks Šenk having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Kočevje FC's zone, Mavro Primar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliks Šenk came out of the goal and Mavro Primar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliks Šenk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vasilije Hromec went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Mavro Primar sped through Kočevje FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Feliks Šenk. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kočevje FC's goalkeeper Feliks Šenk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Rajmund Dobnikar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Kočevje FC booed when Slovenska Bistrica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milovan Šolman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kočevje FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Vurkeljc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aita Zaplana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Vasilije Hromec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliks Šenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Slovenska Bistrica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kočevje FC.
