The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Venceslav Zgonec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almin Knific saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lavrenc Dravec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almin Knific having to make a save. Roni Vučak struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Almin Knific didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelsea Fc. Venceslav Zgonec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arnel Stonič kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brecht Tombeurs in the 21st minute of play forced Chelsea Fc's goalkeeper Hajdar Narat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes, Ernad Pelcl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea Fc and the Šempeter GF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Chelsea Fc got a freekick which was hit by Ernad Pelcl. Almin Knific showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venceslav Zgonec, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Šempeter GF booed when Chelsea Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernad Pelcl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Milovan Žak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hajdar Narat skillfully saved the ball. Arnel Stonič succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venceslav Zgonec in the 36th minute of play forced Šempeter GF's goalkeeper Almin Knific to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venceslav Zgonec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lavrenc Dravec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almin Knific having to interfere. Feliks Račečič hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Venceslav Zgonec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venceslav Zgonec was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Chelsea Fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 54th minute Venceslav Zgonec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almin Knific saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almin Knific showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lavrenc Dravec in the 55th minute of the match. Almin Knific made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lavrenc Dravec in the 61st minute. Venceslav Zgonec scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almin Knific, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Venceslav Zgonec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almin Knific saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venceslav Zgonec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Šempeter GF's zone, Lavrenc Dravec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almin Knific came out of the goal and Lavrenc Dravec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Almin Knific made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lavrenc Dravec in the 79th minute. If Brecht Tombeurs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Almin Knific successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chelsea Fc were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
