When Minas Markomichalis came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC Koper fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Minas Markomichalis couldn't finish the play. Mihajlo Gomboc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cveto Novinec having to interfere. Đuro Kaloper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Minas Markomichalis in the 80th minute. Đuro Kaloper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Okropny in the 82nd minute of the match. Minas Markomichalis might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Đuro Kaloper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Minas Markomichalis ran back to his position shaking his head. Zvezdan Drobnjaković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cveto Novinec having to interfere. FC Koper's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
