Dennis Beškovnik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sreta Gorše came out and tried to block the shot, but Dennis Beškovnik slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. After 8 played minutes Bayer Leverkusen got a freekick which was hit by Lazar Topolovec. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Will Gates in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sreta Gorše prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rašid Uršič kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Sreta Gorše made an important save on a dangerous shot by Džan Verdev in the 14th minute. Rašid Uršič charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rašid Uršič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Bayer Leverkusen got a freekick which was hit by Rašid Uršič. Peter Saksida hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Hodoš's Dimitris Papadopulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorjan Budal in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Will Gates in the 23rd minute of play forced Bayer Leverkusen's goalkeeper Sreta Gorše to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayer Leverkusen's Sreta Gorše played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Beškovnik in the 25th minute of play. Dennis Beškovnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bayer Leverkusen's Sreta Gorše got control of the ball when Džan Verdev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lazar Topolovec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Papadopulos having to interfere. Dimitris Papadopulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naim Stanišič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Hodoš's Džan Verdev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sreta Gorše made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Dennis Beškovnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sreta Gorše tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Naim Stanišič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Bayer Leverkusen's Rašid Uršič got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Will Gates who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bayer Leverkusen's Sreta Gorše was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lazar Topolovec during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lazar Topolovec hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Naim Stanišič got free with Dimitris Papadopulos in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Hodoš's Dimitris Papadopulos got control of the ball when Naim Stanišič tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 92 played minutes Bayer Leverkusen got a freekick which was hit by Lazar Topolovec. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Tomaž Dobrila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hodoš's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomaž Dobrila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sreta Gorše breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sreta Gorše showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Gates, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
