Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ecij Mihalek started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match Valon Šumej shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zorko Andrić showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in NK Kranj's zone, Luc Ahlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rios Salgado came out of the goal and Luc Ahlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ferdo Platiše sped through NK Kočevje's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zorko Andrić. If Ferdo Platiše had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of NK Kranj booed when NK Kočevje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etien Zupet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, NK Kranj's Ferdo Platiše nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zorko Andrić made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 23rdth minute of the game Ferdo Platiše who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NK Kočevje's Zorko Andrić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Medin Makuc kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Živko Indihar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rado Gruntar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Rios Salgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 40 played minutes NK Kranj got a freekick which was hit by Medin Makuc. Ecij Mihalek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rios Salgado having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Luc Ahlin took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Rios Salgado to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdo Platiše was the one to do the kick off. Zorko Andrić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Živko Indihar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd match minute, NK Kranj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neven Jambrošić to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Gianpaolo Seyfried hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. NK Kranj's Dragoljub Kopše was substituted for Ferdo Platiše. The supporters of NK Kočevje booed when NK Kranj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gianpaolo Seyfried didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to NK Kranj getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gianpaolo Seyfried hit a great ball. Rios Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ecij Mihalek in the 63rd minute of play. Medin Makuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Dragoljub Kopše managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK Kranj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dragoljub Kopše was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 minutes, Luc Ahlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NK Kočevje and the NK Kranj players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes NK Kočevje got a freekick which was hit by Luc Ahlin. Dragoljub Kopše recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. NK Kočevje's Zorko Andrić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save NK Kočevje from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Živko Indihar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zorko Andrić, 2-3. A collision led to NK Kočevje getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Etien Zupet hit a great ball. Zorko Andrić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoljub Kopše in the 90th minute of play. Dragoljub Kopše received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Zorko Andrić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erol Kikelj got free with Zorko Andrić in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Etien Zupet hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The NK Kočevje fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. NK Kranj were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
