Ribnica na Pohorju

Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zdravko Buh kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ribnica na Pohorju's goal looked a bit too open when Will Gates came free, but Bernard Kolman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Will Gates might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard Kolman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Will Gates ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernard Kolman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Gates in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdravko Buh in the 8th minute of play forced Hodoš's goalkeeper Dimitris Papadopulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Peter Saksida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The nice play by the forwards in Ribnica na Pohorju lead to a good chance of a goal in the 14th minute when George SonÄar sent off a hard shot on goal from long distance. Dimitris Papadopulos however firmly picked down the ball that almost went into the goal in the upper left corner. If Džan Verdev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Will Gates ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernard Kolman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 24 minutes, Džan Verdev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hodoš's supporters crossed their fingers, but Džan Verdev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernard Kolman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Beškovnik in the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ribnica na Pohorju defense, Will Gates kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Kolman. The Ribnica na Pohorju fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Kolman should have stopped the shot. Džan Verdev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45th play minutes Will Gates shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Bernard Kolman and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Will Gates made a kick off. When Hodoš's Will Gates in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ribnica na Pohorju's goalie prevented a goal. If Džan Verdev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th match minute, Ribnica na Pohorju was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salih Drakul to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rdth minute of the game Will Gates who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ribnica na Pohorju's Bernard Kolman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Džan Verdev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Kolman having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Ribnica na Pohorju's goalkeeper Bernard Kolman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Will Gates. Bernard Kolman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dennis Beškovnik in the 74th minute. The Hodoš fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Hodoš's Will Gates looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Džan Verdev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Bernard Kolman managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Hodoš's Will Gates fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Will Gates in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard Kolman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernard Kolman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Gates in the 89th minute of play. With his leg Bernard Kolman managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Hodoš's Will Gates fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Ribnica na Pohorju's Odon Markon got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Hodoš left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ribnica na Pohorju.
