Kungota FC's Milorad Lampič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ecij Mihalek in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Dorian Kerbler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kungota FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NK Kočevje the free kick. Dorian Kerbler kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Rado Gruntar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Samel Petek sped through NK Kočevje's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zorko Andrić. Kungota FC's Milorad Lampič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rado Gruntar in the 30th minute of play. Zorko Andrić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samel Petek in the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Rado Gruntar notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Kungota FC's Milorad Lampič. Milorad Lampič was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ecij Mihalek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ecij Mihalek made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in NK Kočevje's zone, Alberto Šimnovec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zorko Andrić came out of the goal and Alberto Šimnovec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 52 minutes into the match, Kungota FC's goalkeeper Milorad Lampič had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rado Gruntar. In the 60th minute, Milutin Strle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kungota FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Rado Gruntar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milorad Lampič having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Alberto Šimnovec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zorko Andrić. NK Kočevje's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Šimnovec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Milorad Lampič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ecij Mihalek's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Luc Ahlin struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Milorad Lampič didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NK Kočevje. Rado Gruntar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milorad Lampič having to interfere. Ecij Mihalek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Milorad Lampič tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Šimnovec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zorko Andrić having to interfere. Ecij Mihalek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milorad Lampič having to interfere.
