Zorko Andrić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stevan Metzkar's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. When Matijaž Šikman fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trebnje NK's protests and gave Matijaž Šikman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Trebnje NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matijaž Šikman to maneuver through the defense. When Čedomir Birk came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the NK Kočevje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Čedomir Birk couldn't finish the play. Ricardinho Matorin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rado Gruntar went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Zorko Andrić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stevan Metzkar's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Rado Gruntar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ricardinho Matorin firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Trebnje NK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Matej Štrumbelj hit a great ball. NK Kočevje's Sanel Hovnik shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ricardinho Matorin but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Trebnje NK's Saša Ajdič got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Ricardinho Matorin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rado Gruntar in the 35th minute. Ricardinho Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ecij Mihalek, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Etien Zupet kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ecij Mihalek charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ecij Mihalek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Ecij Mihalek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ecij Mihalek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stevan Metzkar had several of the NK Kočevje's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 52 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Zorko Andrić as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sanel Hovnik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardinho Matorin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Ricardinho Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ecij Mihalek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NK Kočevje's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Stevan Metzkar scored to the left of an out of position Zorko Andrić, making the score, 1-2. Ricardinho Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rado Gruntar in the 65th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Etien Zupet made a precise shot to the right of Ricardinho Matorin. Trebnje NK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3.
