If Maximilian Borštner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Vrhpolje United got a freekick which was hit by Dario Markon. 20 minutes into the match, Keksi Maribor's goalkeeper Žika Borštnik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dario Markon. Ferit Çerağ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deni Širme, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Keksi Maribor got a corner. Vrhpolje United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Espiridion Dellasierra ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Espiridion Dellasierra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vrhpolje United's Ferit Çerağ did a great save. Paco Camarasa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Keksi Maribor booed when Vrhpolje United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Camarasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Maximilian Borštner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferit Çerağ was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If David Volk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vrhpolje United's Ferit Çerağ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Espiridion Dellasierra in the 35th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Tarik Ožir notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Keksi Maribor's Žika Borštnik. Žika Borštnik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Volk to make the kick off. Vrhpolje United's Ferit Çerağ proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Vrhpolje United from getting a goal against them. In the 67th match minute, Vrhpolje United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Volk to maneuver through the defense. Dario Markon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Žika Borštnik having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Vrhpolje United's goal looked a bit too open when Deni Širme came free, but Ferit Çerağ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
