Calle Thorsberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ove Blomkvist went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Niclas Tomasson kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Liverpool BK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Simon Wållander hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the game, Hakenäset's Ove Blomkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calle Thorsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Magnus Albäck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calle Thorsberg having to make a save. Ian Lönn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Kurt Josefsson made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Hakenäset's goalkeeper Kurt Josefsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Lönn. The supporters of Hakenäset booed when Liverpool BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Wållander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 minutes of play, Hakenäset's Ove Blomkvist made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Calle Thorsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kurt Josefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Wållander in the 35th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Hakenäset got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Björk. 45 minutes into the match, Liverpool BK's Lennart Nilsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt Josefsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Ove Blomkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th match minute, Liverpool BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Lönn to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Ove Blomkvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Calle Thorsberg. Ove Blomkvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Calle Thorsberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ove Blomkvist in the 64th minute. Niclas Tomasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Thorsberg having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Ove Blomkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Calle Thorsberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ove Blomkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Calle Thorsberg made a huge save. Kurt Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Wållander in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Liverpool BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Wester to maneuver through the defense. After 92 minutes, Ove Blomkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hakenäset and the Liverpool BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Hakenäset got a freekick which was hit by Ove Blomkvist. Hakenäset's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
