Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kenneth Sjöberg started the match with the kick off. Lars Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilgot Björk in the 4th minute of play. Gabriel Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Uno Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Lind's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uno Lidman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Lind came free, but Uno Lidman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sune Törnkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Fiorentina's Uno Lidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Lind in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes Fiorentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andréas Hjortberg who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kenneth Sjöberg in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uno Lidman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Gabriel Lind ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uno Lidman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Uno Lidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Sjöberg in the 45th minute of play. Kenneth Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Uno Lidman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kärnan IF. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vilgot Björk to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Lind came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Uno Lidman could save by the left post. After 53 minutes, Gabriel Lind made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Fiorentina's Uno Lidman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Jack Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Kärnan IF's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Björk came free, but Lars Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vilgot Björk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Uno Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Lind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Lidman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Sjöberg in the 76th minute of play forced Fiorentina's goalkeeper Uno Lidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uno Lidman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Lind in the 81st minute. 91 minutes into the match, Fiorentina's Isak Björk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Johnsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kärnan IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
