Stig-Åke Linberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sundsvall FF. In the 37th minute Roy Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Linberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Sundsvall FF's Roy Carlsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stig-Åke Linberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.

After 73 minutes of play Sundsvall FF's Torbjörn Björnsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 74 played minutes Sundsvall FF got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Björnsson. When Roy Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sundsvall FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Carlsson couldn't finish the play. Oskar Smitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stig-Åke Linberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Eriksbo IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sundsvall FF.
