Ruben Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, Hökåsen BK's Orvar Karlberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ture Nässén came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hökåsen BK reached it. In the 16th minute Jonas Nordin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ture Nässén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Magnusson in the 18th minute of play forced Hökåsen BK's goalkeeper Dan Kellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Ove Nordkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dan Kellbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo Magnusson got free with Dan Kellbom in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Hökåsen BK's zone, Jan-Erik Jönsätt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Kellbom came out of the goal and Jan-Erik Jönsätt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th match minute, Salabacke FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bizi Taboada to maneuver through the defense. Ture Nässén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, Salabacke FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, Salabacke FC's Ruben Svensson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dan Kellbom. Dan Kellbom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Lägdin in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ture Nässén prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee ignored Salabacke FC's protests and gave Ruben Svensson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Salabacke FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play.
