The audience thought a goal was coming when Andréas Lindqvist got free with Emil Hamnberg in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmund Bållström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Vik having to interfere. The supporters of Insjöns IF booed when Heavy Electic FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Snell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Haegg in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emil Hamnberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Andréas Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Emil Hamnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Heavy Electic FC's Gösta Möllgren got a free kick in the 12th minute. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Walter Haegg sped through Heavy Electic FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emil Hamnberg. Emil Hamnberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andréas Lindqvist's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Walter Haegg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emil Hamnberg. Walter Haegg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With his leg Emil Hamnberg managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Insjöns IF's Walter Haegg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th minute Andréas Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Hamnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andréas Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Emil Hamnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Daniel Wallmark suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Edmund Bållström's late challenge caught a Insjöns IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Walter Haegg got free in front of the goal in the 39th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Emil Hamnberg was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Nico Onderwater cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Emil Hamnberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th play minute Walter Haegg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emil Hamnberg. 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Möllgren was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Heavy Electic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Haegg came free, but Emil Hamnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Walter Haegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Robin Frisck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Hamnberg having to interfere. When Walter Haegg came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Insjöns IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Haegg couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Zbigniew Zacharczyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Haegg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Hamnberg having to interfere. In the 66th minute Walter Haegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Hamnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Nico Onderwater managed to get in a good position for a shot. Insjöns IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Onderwater was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Hamnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emil Hamnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Haegg, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Mikael Snell hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walter Haegg in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emil Hamnberg saved Heavy Electic FC from getting behind. Victor Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Hamnberg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Heavy Electic FC's zone, Walter Haegg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Hamnberg came out of the goal and Walter Haegg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Walter Haegg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Insjöns IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Walter Haegg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Hamnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Insjöns IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
