The referee ignored Arsenal FC's protests and gave Elliott Kinell a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Elliott Kinell hit a great ball. Hans Söderkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Ludwig Söderlund made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Ivar Wallin made a precise shot to the right of Niklas Stenberg. New York's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 42nd match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Säf to maneuver through the defense. The New York players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arsenal FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marko Gummeson to make the kick off. Marko Gummeson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Niklas Stenberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ludwig Söderlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pål Arvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ludwig Söderlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Söderkvist in the 63rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, New York's Paul Höijer tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenal FC's Ivar Wallin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niklas Stenberg. That made the score 0-2 after 73 minutes of play. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when New York was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Hallgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niklas Stenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Gummeson in the 79th minute of the match. Ivar Wallin took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Niklas Stenberg. Niklas Stenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 90th minute Marko Gummeson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Stenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
