The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Swesom fc's Marin Filip in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marin Filip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boris Utter hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Karl-Johan Stor came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Swesom fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Johan Stor couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Swesom fc's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Böcklund came free, but Lennart Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Wennerquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Lennart Vase tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lennart Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Östen Böcklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Östen Böcklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennart Vase came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by GIF Sundsvall's Roger Wennerquist. But to his dismay, Roger Wennerquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to GIF Sundsvall getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Boris Utter hit a great ball. Marin Filip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gösta Åkerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Östen Böcklund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marin Filip struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Gösta Åkerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swesom fc. Hjalmar Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gösta Åkerberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Swesom fc's Hjalmar Eriksson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Roger Wennerquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. GIF Sundsvall's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Wennerquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennart Vase breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Swesom fc getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Hjalmar Eriksson hit a great ball. Roger Wennerquist struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Lennart Vase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GIF Sundsvall. 71 minutes into the match, Swesom fc's goalkeeper Lennart Vase had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Wennerquist. In the 74th minute, Karl-Johan Stor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gösta Åkerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Karl-Johan Stor scored 2-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gösta Åkerberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Marin Filip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gösta Åkerberg was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After having played for 94 minutes, Hjalmar Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swesom fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hjalmar Eriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hjalmar Eriksson struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Gösta Åkerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swesom fc. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Swesom fc had played much better football throughout.
