In the 16th minute, Eskil Hägert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute Jarl Runberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Åke Hedin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Folke Petersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Östra Sönnarslöv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dalkurd FF the free kick. George Smedfeldt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bengt-Åke Hedin came out and tried to block the shot, but George Smedfeldt slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Myhr to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Folke Petersson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Dalkurd FF's Holger Sigman. Holger Sigman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eskil Hägert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. A collision led to Östra Sönnarslöv getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Charles Myhr hit a great ball. With 73 minutes on the clock, Torbjörn Söderlund commited a dangerous tackle. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Petersson got free with Holger Sigman in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th match minute, Dalkurd FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Salkvist to maneuver through the defense. Östra Sönnarslöv's Bengt-Åke Hedin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Blomkvist in the 95th minute of play. Östra Sönnarslöv's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
