After a rather tough play, Gamleby's Algot Pihl got a free kick in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Offendahl during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Töreboda BF got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Offendahl. After a defensive mix-up in Gamleby's zone, Desiderio Guerrero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Sörman came out of the goal and Desiderio Guerrero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Töreboda BF defense, Martin Dalman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stig Gabrielsson. The Töreboda BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig Gabrielsson should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Töreboda BF getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gösta Månsson hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivar Wallengren to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Töreboda BF got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Månsson. After 52 minutes, Sven Finsberg made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Töreboda BF's Stig Gabrielsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Töreboda BF's Stig Gabrielsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Töreboda BF from getting a goal against them. After 60 played minutes Töreboda BF got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Offendahl. Stig Gabrielsson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Evert Abelsson. After 70 played minutes Töreboda BF got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Offendahl. Töreboda BF's Stig Gabrielsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Töreboda BF from getting a goal against them. Bernt Sörman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Guerrero in the 94th minute of the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Gösta Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Töreboda BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Månsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Töreboda BF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gamleby were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
