Alfons Bergström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Björn Ånger firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alfons Bergström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfons Bergström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Björn Ånger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Björn Ånger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfons Bergström in the 12th minute. In the 13th play minute Alfons Bergström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Björn Ånger. 1-0. The supporters of Fjärdhundra booed when Vänersborgs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Bark didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes Fjärdhundra got a freekick which was hit by Manfred Påk. 34 minutes into the game, Fjärdhundra's Simon Udvari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Arvidsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Udvari in the 38th minute of play forced Vänersborgs IF 's goalkeeper Michael Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Simon Udvari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Arvidsson. Vänersborgs IF 's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simon Udvari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Björn Ånger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Modig, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vänersborgs IF 's Gustaf Magnusson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Björn Ånger. That made the score 3-2 after 42 minutes of play. In the 48th minute of the match, Gabriel Modig tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Björn Ånger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfons Bergström made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Alfons Bergström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vänersborgs IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Modig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Ånger was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 65 minutes into the game, Alfons Bergström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Björn Ånger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabriel Modig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Björn Ånger having to interfere. Björn Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Modig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabriel Modig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Björn Ånger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Björn Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Modig in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Fjärdhundra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Tolsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Gustaf Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vänersborgs IF 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaf Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaf Magnusson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Björn Ånger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Alfons Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Ånger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Udvari in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Modig in the 93rd minute of play forced Fjärdhundra's goalkeeper Björn Ånger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vänersborgs IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
