When Karl-Magnus Linquist came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Magnus Linquist couldn't finish the play. After 11 minutes of play, AIK's Karl-Magnus Linquist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arvid Flinck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kimstad's Arvid Flinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Albom in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kimstad's Timmy Kjellqvist got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Karl-Magnus Linquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Enström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Flinck having to interfere. When AIK's Peter Enström in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kimstad's goalie prevented a goal. When Eskil Nyström fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kimstad's protests and gave Eskil Nyström a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Enström in the 25th minute of play forced Kimstad's goalkeeper Arvid Flinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Uggla scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Finman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Timmy Kjellqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When AIK's Peter Enström in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kimstad's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Enström in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arvid Flinck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonny Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Peter Enström made the kick off in the second half. Arvid Flinck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Enström, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Peter Enström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Flinck having to interfere. Sven-Erik Klementsson charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven-Erik Klementsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th minute, Sven-Erik Klementsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Peter Enström in the 62nd minute. Karl-Magnus Linquist was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Arvid Flinck acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sven-Erik Klementsson. After 70 played minutes Kimstad got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Kjellqvist. Arvid Flinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Albom in the 71st minute of the match. Peter Enström let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 74th minute shot 1-2 at rihgt post. Peter Enström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvid Flinck having to interfere. Kasper Sundberg hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Peter Enström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Peter Enström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Peter Enström took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Arvid Flinck to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 95 minutes, Joakim Albom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Albom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AIK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
