In the 21st minute, Marcus Pettersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Morgan Linqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 27th minute Sixten Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sigvard Björck was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Ekillas Ball Hunters!:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Räfvåla FF:s goal. The goalkeeper, Morgan Linqvist, was totally fooled by Räfvåla FF's Sixten Johnsson, who 39 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nils-Erik Björnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mattias Kaxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bertil Häll to make the kick off. Nils-Erik Björnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Joacim Klintæus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aleksander Odman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Morgan Linqvist. Ekillas Ball Hunters!'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ekillas Ball Hunters!'s Morgan Linqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Pettersson in the 56th minute of play. Mattias Kaxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Otto Wikander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Marcus Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Pettersson scored 3-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Morgan Linqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Morgan Linqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Svanström, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 82nd minute, Mattias Kaxe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils-Åke Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ekillas Ball Hunters!'s Nils-Erik Björnberg got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Pettersson in the 89th minute of play forced Ekillas Ball Hunters!'s goalkeeper Morgan Linqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Marcus Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Morgan Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Räfvåla FF booed when Ekillas Ball Hunters! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Billock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Pettersson's late challenge caught a Ekillas Ball Hunters!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Pettersson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Marcus Pettersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Räfvåla FF had won after a very even match.
