Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Astor Dorio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Astor Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hemavan's zone, Kurt Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Wickander came out of the goal and Kurt Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt Wickander came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Mathias Söderman. But to his dismay, Mathias Söderman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Kurt Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammarby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt Wickander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torsten Forsman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ulf Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammarby IF's Ulf Lindmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Dorio in the 36th minute of play. Kurt Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bengt Wickander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Hemavan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Avram to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Ulf Lindmark had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torsten Forsman. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Ulf Lindmark successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half Hammarby IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jonatan Hedvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bengt Wickander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingemar Tillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Astor Dorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hemavan's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Dorio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulf Lindmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Forsman in the 66th minute of play. Ulf Lindmark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Dorio in the 68th minute of the match. Mathias Söderman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Wickander having to interfere. Ulf Lindmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Forsman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes, Ion Avram mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hemavan and the Hammarby IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ion Avram kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Torsten Forsman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ulf Lindmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Dorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulf Lindmark read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Arman Frisck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hemavan players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
