Liverpool FC's Ivar Månsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Artizar in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivar Månsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Karl-Åke Ahlquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute Walter Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Fagerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Alebom in the 22nd minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Herman Fagerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Bajen's Domingo Artizar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Månsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Karl-Åke Ahlquist was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bajen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Håkansson was the one to do the kick off. Bajen were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
