In the 11th minute, Rutger Sundberg fired a really elegant long shot, but Rune Hellsing threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 12th minute, Zoltan Vezin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Hellsing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 曲辉军 in the 14th minute of the match. Bengt Hultstrand took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stu Leyburn. Stu Leyburn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bengt Hultstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Leyburn having to interfere. Sebastian Hammarbäck hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hammarby IF's Bengt Hultstrand got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georg Ekeroth charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georg Ekeroth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Sparreholm SK got a freekick which was hit by Georg Ekeroth. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Måns Linquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sparreholm SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Måns Linquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Hellsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Theo Oorschot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, 曲辉军 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sparreholm SK's supporters rose to their feet, but 曲辉军 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Hellsing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Theo Oorschot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilmantas Dulevičius in the 80th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Rune Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 曲辉军 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Hellsing having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sparreholm SK's Vilmantas Dulevičius got a free kick in the 89th minute. With a little luck, Sparreholm SK's Stu Leyburn got control of the ball when Bengt Hultstrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Georg Lindblom kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hammarby IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
