With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christoffer Åkerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the game, Tomas Bergstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skene BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Björneborg the free kick. Björneborg's Michael Holm was substituted for William Kock. Gottfrid Lundin hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, Skene BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Holmberg to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Tomas Bergstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skene BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Bergstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gottfrid Låsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 30 minutes, Roger Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björneborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Samuelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Skene BK's zone, Emil Trillkott stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoffer Åkerberg came out of the goal and Emil Trillkott tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Roger Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Bergstedt was the one to do the kick off. Roger Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Christoffer Åkerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gottfrid Låsberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Bergstedt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 70 minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Skene BK's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Fristedt came free, but Christoffer Åkerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björneborg were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
