The supporters of Björneborg booed when Marsfjäll IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes Marsfjäll IFK got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Blom. In the 9th minute, Rudolf Danielsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Karl-Magnus Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gottfrid Låsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gottfrid Låsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Överman in the 12th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Herbert Vik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Björneborg's Gottfrid Låsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. William Kock kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Rune Överman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marsfjäll IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Överman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gottfrid Låsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roger Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Felix Spetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gottfrid Låsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Överman in the 28th minute of the match. Herbert Vik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfrid Låsberg having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Herbert Vik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Spetz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Samuelsson's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Björneborg's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Vik came free, but Gottfrid Låsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Samuelsson in the 40th minute of play forced Marsfjäll IFK's goalkeeper Felix Spetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gottfrid Lennartsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Spetz having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Roger Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björneborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Samuelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Björneborg's Gottfrid Lennartsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Spetz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roger Samuelsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Felix Spetz made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rune Överman was the one to do the kick off. When Björneborg's Roger Samuelsson in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Björneborg's goalkeeper Gottfrid Låsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herbert Vik. In the 60th minute, Gottfrid Lundin made a precise shot to the right of Felix Spetz. Marsfjäll IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 68 minutes into the game, Sverker Blom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marsfjäll IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Björneborg the free kick. Felix Spetz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Samuelsson's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Björneborg's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
