After the first half Botkyrka IF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niklas Bolin made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Joakim Lidman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Röstånga RK defense, Börje Utter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristoffer Ek. The Röstånga RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristoffer Ek should have stopped the shot. Markus Boberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristoffer Ek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markus Boberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Markus Boberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kristoffer Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Röstånga RK's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Utter came free, but Kristoffer Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Börje Utter in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristoffer Ek saved Röstånga RK from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Botkyrka IF's Börje Utter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristoffer Ek. That made the score 0-5 after 90 minutes of play. In the 93rd minute, Börje Utter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
